Folders

FoldersFolders are best produced in large numbers, for example 1000 or more. Small numbers are also viable when printed digitally, but the unit price is higher. The most common size is oversized A4. Whether or not the folder has 'capacity' is another choice. Various finishes are available, varnish gives a high gloss, lamination can produce a matt finish. Spot varnish, to highlight your logo, is also possible. Business card slots are a standard feature.

Letter about foldersFolders are a great way of presenting your company in a good light. Whilst normal folders look really professional, gloss lamination adds that extra pizzazz. Any size folder can be produced but anything out of the ordinary will require a special forme made to your specifications. This can be used over and over again. The size of folder normally matches the standard metric paper equivalents; so, an A4 folder is made over sized to fit A4 sheets. Just as a C4 envelopes is designed to hold A4 sheets. The folders can be designed to be printed one or two sided. They usually include pockets to hold the paper work and normally include a place for a business card. Under normal circumstances the folders are made in standard quantities of 250, 500, 1000 etc and deviating from this is likely to add extra expense. Additionally, there will be a minimum order of 250. As I explained to Pete in the letter this will mean that samples of your design are not possible but, due to to digital print technology, a proof will be possible; probably scaled to fit smaller sheet size and, due to the different technologies, colours will only be approximations.
