The letterhead is the best way of communicating yourself to the client and customer. The quality can vary from a plain 100gsm paper with one colour ink, to the very best textured paper, watermarked and heavy weight.
INK
The most economical way is a long run (at least 500) of one colour ink. This will cost in the region of £74 plus VAT. Ink printing has the added advantage of attracting heavy discounts for longer runs. The same job would cost only £180 for 2000 prints.
The price varies according to the number of ink colours, and after 2 colours the full colour process becomes more competitive, but suffers the disadvantage of inferior colour matches.
PAPER
Most customers print on a quality 100gsm white paper but the alternatives are numerous. Unfortunately, due to the competitive state of the paper market, papers come and go on a daily basis. So, your paper of choice may have disappeared the next time you print!
Textured papers are very popular. Laid sees your paper textured with lots of lines.
whilst hammered creates a bubbly effect. The name of the effect varies according to the paper supplier.
